KakeboAI Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2024

Welcome to the KakeboAI Privacy Policy. Your right to online privacy and security is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the collection, protection, disclosure, and use of your information by PolymathicByte. This Privacy Policy applies to all KakeboAI websites, mobile applications, and/or online services that link to or reference this Privacy Policy. It covers your personal information provided or collected through the use of our services and how we use such information in relation to our services.

By using KakeboAI, you accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any term of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our services.

Overview

KakeboAI is a record of user expenses and income that can be shared with friends and family. The entries you add on KakeboAI are not public. People with whom you share a kakebo (categorized list of expenses/income according to a Japanese method) can view all entries (expenses and income). You decide who to share the kakebo with. Anyone sharing a kakebo has the ability to edit, delete, and insert entries. Expenses/income are entered through a voice recognition system that is activated only by pressing a button on the homepage and stops recording when the button is released.

To use KakeboAI, we ask you to create an account. When you register, we will ask you for some information such as first name, last name, email address. We need this information to create an account, so we can contact you about it, so your friends can find you, and so you can access your account from anywhere.

In addition to sharing your registration information to set up your account, we collect other information about you such as the type of device you use and your IP address. We may also collect information about the type of entries you add or with whom you share the kakebo. We use this information to help improve and protect our service.

We do not share your registration or personal information for marketing purposes. We will never share your information with other parties for purposes other than those stated in this policy without your consent. If you have questions, contact us at .

KakeboAI or its partners or service providers may operate in Europe or any other country and therefore your personal information may be processed outside the country where you are located. By using and providing information to us, you agree and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in other countries, including for example those outside the European Economic Area. The countries to which we transfer your information may not have data protection laws similar to those in the country where you are located.

KakeboAI is not intended for use by children under 16 years of age or minors. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 years of age. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information without their consent, they should contact us at . If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such information from our files.

For example, if you add an expense for a bill in a kakebo shared with friends/family, those people will be able to see that bill, while all users with whom you do not share the kakebo will not. You are solely responsible for the contacts with whom you share this information.

Kakebo sharing: The user can share their kakebo with other people by providing a randomly generated code. Cookies

How we use cookies and similar technologies:

Like many websites, we use tracking technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to record your preferences, track KakeboAI usage, and exposure to our online ads. We may also use these technologies to monitor traffic, improve KakeboAI, and make it easier to use and more relevant.

Some content or applications on our Sites, including advertising, are served by unaffiliated third parties. We do not control the tracking technologies of these third parties or how they may be used. If you have questions about an ad, you should contact the responsible advertiser directly.

Your browser or device may include "Do Not Track" functionality. KakeboAI's information collection and disclosure practices and the choices we provide to customers will continue to operate as described in this Privacy Policy, whether or not we receive a Do Not Track signal. To learn more about how Do Not Track works visit .

Online tracking and interest-based advertising:

You also have choices to limit some tracking mechanisms that collect information when you use our Services. Many web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, some features of our Services, including the Service itself, may not work properly or remain accessible to you. For example, you cannot log in to splitwise.com if you have disabled the use of all cookies. Additionally, you can also render some web beacons unusable by declining or removing their associated cookies. Note that if you choose to remove cookies, you may also remove voluntary opt-out cookies that affect your advertising preferences.

Many of the third-party advertisers that place tracking tools on our Sites are members of programs that offer additional choices regarding the collection and use of your information. You can learn more about the options available to limit the collection and use of information by these third parties by visiting the websites of the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance as well as the web pages for Facebook's advertising preferences tool and privacy policy.

Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings. For more information on how to change these settings for Apple, Android, or Windows devices see:

It will however exclude interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks, as provided by their policies and choice mechanisms.
